Cub Cooking Competition 2024

About the Cub Cooking Competition….
The Cub Competition is ‘Ready, Steady, Cook themed’ and teams will be given a recipe to follow on the day which will be a main and desert.

What you need to know….

• When: Sunday 11th February 2024
• Time: Start at 10am (set up for leaders from 9.30am) until 12pm
• Where: Venue TBC
• Cost: No Cost – teams will be required to bring their own ingredients.
• Team Information: 4-6 young people per team.
• Volunteer Information: At least one leader should be present. For the Cub Competition volunteers will be rotated to work with another team as their role is to provide supervision for safety reasons.
• Equipment: Groups will be required to bring their own cooking equipment, including utensils, crockery, cutlery and washing up bowl. There is hot water available, a fridge and an oven but this will be set at a generic temperature to accommodate everyone. Each group will be allocated at least one table, but you may be asked to bring more in advance when instructions are circulated.
• Ingredients: Cubs will be provided with a list of ingredients on the closing date.
• Badges Working Towards: Various
• Transport and Parking: Young people should be dropped off by their parent/carer.
• Clothing: Suitable clothing and shoes should be worn for this activity which will take place indoors.
