Following the death of our Patron, HM The Queen, Scouts were invited to support with the lying of state at Westminister Hall, London. Our County Youth Commissioner, James Turner volunteered in shifts with the other Scouts to direct members of the public, keep them safe and joining the thousands of people paying their respect to Her Majesty the Queen. James said “I am so proud to be part of this event. The Queen is the Patron of the Scouts and we make a promise to her. This is the last thing I can do for Her Majesty and I am going to do it to the best of my ability.” Thank you James for representing Scouts across the UK and also our County at this historical occasion.
