On Tuesday 6th September 2022, we held our Annual General Meeting at Dunham Park Scout Camp. We usually move around the Districts for our AGM, however we thought it would be fitting to hold our AGM at the campsite as they celebrate their centenary year!
The meeting was chaired by our County President, Sir Warren Smith with special guests including HM Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mrs Diane Hawkins, Ceremonial Mayor of Salford, Mayors of Trafford and Wigan and our Regional Commissioner, Mr Ian Hill. Our Annual Report 2022 was presented and accepted at the meeting, a copy can be downloaded below.
County Commissioner, Andy Farrell presented a number of awards and certificates including Award for Merit to our County President Sir Warren Smith, 30 years service to Stretford DC Matt Osborne, Commissioner’s Commendations to two young people from 2nd Irlam who created first aid training videos during the pandemic and a wood badge to Deputy CC Jacob Bond. Presentations were concluded by Jacqui Aspinall MBE presenting the Silver Wolf to Alan and Joan Hayton whose contribution to Bispham Hall Scout Estate and Wigan District has been exceptional for many years.
