Volunteer Learning Opportunities – Various

On our volunteer learning weekend from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd October 2023, we have a number of learning opportunities for our volunteers to sign up.

Friday
Safety and Safeguarding (19:00-21:00)
This session will be face-to-face and follow the structure of The Scouts online courses. Please bring with you a laptop, tablet or smartphone to complete this module. Please contact us by emailing, training@nullgmwscouts.org.uk if you are struggling with an electronic device to bring and we will try to assist where we can.

Learning to Lead – Part 1 (09:30-17:00)
The learning for modules required to complete your wood badge.

Learning to Away – Module 38 Residential Experiences – Part 1 (09:30-16:30)

Inclusion Awareness – Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (13:30-16:00)

Sunday

First Response (09:30-16:30)

Please note for Learning to Away you must attend both days.

There is limited accommodation available on a first come, first serve basis for those attending sessions on two or more days over the weekend. We will provide catering if you wish, or you can bring your own but there are no kitchen facilities available to cook.

Any cancellations will be charged to Districts at £15.00 per person for cancellations within 3 days of the course.
