Volunteer Learning Opportunities – Various

On our volunteer learning weekend from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd October 2022, we have a number of learning opportunities for our volunteers to sign up.

Learning to Lead (09:30-17:00)
Learning to Away (09:30-17:00)
Getting Started, Safety and Safeguarding (09:30-12:30)
Getting Started, Safety and Safeguarding (13:30-16:30)

Sunday
Learning to Away (09:30-17:00)
Learning to Lead (09:30-17:00)
First Response (09:30-16:30)

Please Note: Learning to Lead was previously called Getting Going (wood badge course) and Learning to Away was previously called Getting Away (nights away)

Safety and Safeguarding sessions will be face-to-face and follow the structure of The Scouts online courses. Please bring with you a laptop, tablet or smartphone to complete this module. Please contact us by emailing, training@nullgmwscouts.org.uk if you are struggling with an electronic device to bring and we will try to assist where we can.

Please bring your own lunch if you are attending full day courses, we will provide tea, coffee and water.

There is limited accommodation available on a first come, first serve basis for those attending sessions on two or more days over the weekend. You should bring lunch on the day of your arrival, we will provide an evening meal (Saturday only), breakfast and lunch on subsequent days.
