About the Cubs Watersport Day 2024…
- We are holding our first watersports day for Cubs on Saturday 20th and 27th April 2024 at Scotsman’s Flash. Cubs will have the opportunity to take part in sailing, kayaking, raft building, rafted canoes and paddle boarding.
- First come, first serve basis with a maximum of 15 places per Group, 100 places in total.
What you need to know….
- When: Saturday 20th and 27th April 2024
- Time: 9.30am to 4.00pm
- Where: Scotsman’s Flash, Rushdene, off Poolstock Lane, Wigan, WN3 5HJ.
- Cost: £29.00 per person. Payable to the Group with a single payment being made to the County. We will send payment details with confirmation of your booking.
- Badges Working Towards: Water Activities, Adventure Challenge
- Volunteers: Section Leaders/Assistants are responsible for supervising young people in their section, in line with the appropriate ratio. Parent/Carers will not be required to stay.
- Parking: Parking is available.
- Refreshments: Young people and volunteers should bring their own packed lunch and any drinks.
- Clothing: Suitable clothes for swimming (wetsuit if you have one), towel, old trainers that can get wet and dry clothes for afterwards.
- Permission Forms: Section Leaders must arrange their own permission forms, ensuring they are available on the day and disposing of them afterwards.
- How to Book: Complete the below form to express interest. Places will be confirmed shortly after the closing date.
- Payment Information: Payment details will be shared once your request places are confirmed. Payments will need to be paid to County by Friday 5th April 2024. This should be a single payment per Group.
Payment Details
Once places have been confirmed for your section, we will share payment information with volunteers. Payments should be made no later than Friday 5th April 2024.
