Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp – Fundraising

   |   By

As we celebrate  our 100th birthday in 2022, we are continual reviewing the site and its facilities. As part of our development plan, we have set up a Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp group as a registered Charity (Number 1185766) to raise money to fund improvements across the site.

The current Frank Harrop Lodge (indoor accommodation) has been re-roofed and all the windows have been replaced with double glazing, plus an accessible toilet & washing facilities. The latter was part funded by £2000 from Tesco bags for life having come second in the Altrincham blue token scheme.

In 2020, just before the campsite closed because of the pandemic, we contributed a third of the cost of the new Adventure Playground for Scouts, to compliment the current equipment for Beavers and Cub ages.

In 2021, we have contributed £700 for 1000 hedging plants to fill in gaps around the campsite.

In 2023, we will be contributing to the new traverse wall replacing the life expired facility.

Total raised over £23,500 to date. Thanks to all our contributors!
