Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp – Fundraising

   |   By

We celebrated  the 100th birthday of the campsite  in 2022 and are continuing to support the site and its facilities. As part of the development plan, we  set up Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp as a registered Charity (Number 1185766) to raise money to fund improvements across the site.

The Frank Harrop Lodge (indoor accommodation) has been re-roofed and all the windows have been replaced with double glazing, plus an accessible toilet & washing facilities. The latter was part funded by £2000 from Tesco bags for life having come second in the Altrincham blue token scheme.

In 2020, just before the campsite closed because of the pandemic, we contributed a third of the cost of the new Adventure Playground for Scouts, to compliment the current equipment for Beavers and Cub ages.

In 2021, we have contributed £700 for 1000 hedging plants to fill in gaps around the campsite.
