Scout Lord Derby 2022

About the Scout Lord Derby….

  • First and foremost, the idea of the event is to be an enjoyable day for the participants to try out new activities and challenges.
  • The bases will test their teamwork, communication, and basic scouting skills. As there will be a mixture of bases it is hoped that each team will find something that plays to their strengths.
  • Each participating team must provide and run a base with two leaders, and you provide all equipment. The details of the base must be provided at time of entry.
  • Bases will be 25 minutes in total and there will be 5 minutes clearing away/moving on time. Teams will not leave their base to move on until the whistle is sounded to avoid arriving early at the next base.
  • The marking scheme will be out of ten for the following categories: leadership, teamwork and achieving the task.

What you need to know….

  • When: Saturday 23rd April 2022
  • Time: Arrival from 9.30am with presentations at 3.30pm.
  • Where: Dunham Park Scout Camp, Farm Walk, Off Dunham Road, Altrincham, WA14 4SP.
  • Cost: £20.00 per team.
  • Team Information: Each District can enter 2 Scout teams. Entries to be approved by your ADC (Scouts) before online team entry form at the bottom of this page is submitted. Teams will be a minimum of 4 Scouts and maximum of 6 Scouts. The average age of the team should be no more than 13 years 0 months on the day of the competition. One PL and APL should be nominated in advance amongst the team.
  • Lunch: Young people and volunteers should bring a packed lunch and any additional drinks they will require throughout the day.
  • Clothing: This is a non-uniform event and Group Neckers to be worn. Please ensure parents send young people prepared for all weathers because this event takes place outside.
  • Permission Forms: Section Leaders must arrange their own permission forms, ensuring they are available on the day and disposing of them afterwards. Click the link to download our Participant Information Form.
  • How to Book: Complete the below form and follow the payment instructions. Closing date is Saturday 16th April 2022.
  • Payment Information: Each group should be make their payment in full to the below account details by Saturday 16th April 2022. The cost is £20.00 per team and groups should follow the payment reference instructions below.
