Beavers Go Bananas 2022

The Beaver Go Banana’s trip to Blackpool Zoo is back!

Our first County Beaver event of the year is off to Blackpool Zoo, we know that this was a favourite among both our Beavers and Leaders last time so it’s sure to be a great day! Beavers will have the opportunity to work towards the Animal Friend Activity Badge by learning about the various Animals staying at the Zoo, how they’re cared for and what the eat. For those Beavers who want to earn part of the Explore Badge you can collect a map of you leaders and help them navigate around the Zoo!

What you need to know….

• When: Saturday 9th April 2022
• Where: Blackpool Zoo
• Transport: Coaches will pick up attendees up from a central location with their District/Metro between 9am and 10am. Exact location and times TBC. We will depart Blackpool Zoo at approximately 3pm, and will arrive back between 4pm and 4.30pm at the same location as the pick up.
• Cost: £20.00 per young person, 1 adult to 10 young people go free and additional adults/young leaders are £15.00 each.
• Lunch: We would recommend Section Leaders ask parents to send young people with a packed lunch and drinks rather than try to purchase food at the Zoo.
• Clothing: Young people should wear their uniform. Please ensure parents send young people prepared for all weathers because this event takes place outside.
• Souvenirs: Young people going into there shop to purchase souvenirs is at the discretion of the Section Leader
• Permission Forms: Section Leaders must arrange their own permission forms, ensuring they are available on the day and disposing of them afterwards. Click the link to download our Participant Information Form.
• How to Book: Complete the below form and follow the payment instructions.
• Payment Information: Each group should be make their payment in full to the below account details by Friday 1st April 2022. The cost is £20.00 per young person and £15.00 for additional adults and young leaders. Groups will get1 free adult to every full 10 paying Beavers. If you are unsure of the total cost, please let us know and we can calculate the exact amount you need to transfer.
