On Thursday 2nd June 2022, over 2000 beacons were lit at 9.45pm across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth to celebrate our patron, Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Our beacon lighting in the form of a campfire joined over 90 other Scout Counties, Areas, Districts and Groups across the United Kingdom lighting beacons. Celebrating their centenary year, Dunham Park Scout Camp hosted our beacon lighting ceremony which was attended by Scouts and Guides from across our County. It was not only a great opportunity to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee and the extraordinary service of Her Majesty The Queen, but also a chance to meet with old and new friends.
