If you are doing the award already through
Scouting, your first point of call for the information you need
is through your Section Leader.
You can check out the FAQ's page on
this site. You may find the answer there.
There is also much detailed information on
The
Award website or the

contained within the entrance pack.
It is advisable that you also have access to an Award

Doing the Award but not through Scouting?
Scouting welcomes anyone who wants to complete sections of
their award through our organisation.
We can provide opportunities for you to get involved with for
all sections of the award.
- Service Section: There are opportunities to
volunteer your time as a Young Leader, Adult Leader,
Section Assistant and Group Supporter. The level of
training needed will depend on the role you want to
volunteer for. All adult positions in Scouting
are subject to a satisfactory CRB disclosure.
|
- Skill Section: Scouting can give you the
opportunity to develop and follow a skill in many
areas. From playing an instrument in a marching
band to developing your navigational skills on the
mountains or flying a glider, there's something in
Scouting for everyone.
|
- Physical Recreation: The main focus of the Scout
Programme is centred on the Outdoors and Adventure.
If it's a chance to start hill-walking, mountain
biking or sailing a dinghy Scouting can help you
achieve your goals.
|
- Expeditions: Whatever level of Award you are
completing, Scouting can provide all the training and
assessment needs for you to complete the expedition
section of your Award.
