2009 Hiking Competition
2009 Hiking Competition
This was run on 27th Sept. at Waddecar Scout campsite
in the Trough of Bowland. The Scouts and Explorers sections
competed in separate competitions. The Results- Scouts
1st - 1st West Timperley, 2nd -
3rd/1st Eccles, 3rd -

competition points download here. The teams went over a testing course over
Fairsnape and Parlick Fells. There was even an airlift to watch

"My feedback - the kids were great, thanks to all the
leaders for preparing them correctly and putting them in the right
mindset. I liked the route, it was relatively straight forward but
quite demanding for the Scouts. Thanks to all those leaders who
thanked us and helped Marshall the checkpoints."
