Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp – Fundraising

   |   By

As we approach our 100th birthday in 2022, we are continual reviewing the site and its facilities. As part of our development plan, we have set up a Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp group as a registered Charity (Number 1185766) to raise money to fund improvements across the site. The current Frank Harrop Lodge (indoor accommodation) has been re-roofed and all the windows have been replaced with double glazing, plus an accessible toilet & washing facilities. The latter was part funded by £2000 from Tesco bags for life having come second in the Altrincham blue token scheme. In 2020, just before the campsite closed because of the pandemic, we contributed a third of the cost of the new Adventure Playground for Scouts, to compliment the current equipment for Beavers and Cub ages. In 2021, we have contributed £700 for 1000 hedging plants to fill in gaps around the campsite.

Total raised in our first year of the charity as at 28 February 2020 = £7855.94

Total raised in our second year as at 28 February 2021 = £3775.47

Total raised in our third year to date  as at 28 April 2021 = £1452.80        A grand total of £13,084.21 to date. Thanks to all our contributors!

You can support the Friends of Dunham Park Scout Camp by becoming a member and paying £10 a year subscription. We also have a monthly scheme of pledges to pay £2, £5, £10 per month into the charity. We thank those who have contributed so far and welcome further donations. Please consider gift aiding your subscription or donation so that we can claim the extra 25% from the government.
