Dear Member,

Over the past year, volunteers across the Country have worked tirelessly to deliver essentials to the elderly, support running testing centres and most recently marshalled vaccine centres. Our volunteers have played a huge part in the national effort too.

Volunteers in Greater Manchester West have delivered hours of adventure and fun by delivering remote programmes and activities. The amazing efforts of our volunteers have contributed in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our young people through one of the most difficult challenges they will ever face.

Behind the scenes, volunteers have worked hard to prepare group meeting places for face-to-face activities, reopen our campsites and complete risk assessments.

On behalf of the County Team and Trustees, I would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their commitment to the young people across Greater Manchester West. It’s been a challenging year for all of us, yet you have continued to be passionate and stay dedicated to our young people.

We are all looking forward to the face-to-face adventures to come. In the meantime, stay safe and thank you for your contribution to Scouting in our County.

Best wishes,

Andy Farrell
County Commissioner
