There have been a number of changes to POR around mandatory ongoing learning (training). From September 2020, any volunteer that does not have their Safety and Safeguarding training up-to-date on Compass will not be able to attend Scout meetings with young people or be able to take them on activities away from your usual meeting place, including residential experiences.

As part of the NAN process (once residential experiences are permitted to happen), your District Commissioners will be ensuring that all adults attending residential experiences (excluding occasional helpers and those attending with only Scout Network members) have their Safety and Safeguarding training up-to-date on Compass.

If you haven’t already ensured your mandatory ongoing learning is up-to-date, NOW is the time to complete.

Once completed, please download or screenshot your certificate and send it by email to your Local Training Manager. If you don’t know who that is, please speak to your Group Scout Leader or District Commissioner and they will advise.

Although not specifically required for starting back face to face scouting and nights away, GDPR is also mandatory. This is a one-off module which again can be signed off once completed by downloading or taking a screen shot of your certificate and sending it to your Local Training Manager.
