On Saturday 29th June the sun beamed down on Bispham Hall Scout Estste for the Celebration of Excellence. Top Award Holders from around the County had a day of activities including climbing wall, zip line, archery, inflatables, backwoods cooking and more. Older award holders had an overnight experience that included a BBQ with the Jamboree and Philmont contingents, Airsoft activity, campfire and a Youth Forum giving young people the opportunity to share their ideas and give feedback.
Thank you to our special guests including our County President Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mayor of Trafford, Mayor of Wigan, Regional Commissioner and County Chairman who attended to congratulate our young people on their achievements and present certificates.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication from our volunteers, not just in the planning and delivery of this event but also to all the Leaders who provide a quality programme to allow young people to achieve their awards.
