Meet the Cowboys and Indians of Stretford!

On the last weekend in September, Beavers from 4 groups in Stretford came together for their District Sleepover at Linnet Clough. The theme for the weekend was 'Cowboys and Indians' and the events were kicked off by a night-time walk, listening for sounds of wildlife in the style of Native American Indians.

On Saturday, the activities really began and the Beavers enjoyed a whole host of fun learning to lasso and shoot spud guns to become real Cowboys as well as how to shoot bows and arrows and follow tracks like the Indians.sleepover

There were plenty of crafts to take home too including an Indian headdress, totem pole and hand drum. The Beavers memorialised their weekend of fun by leaving their colourful handprints on a gigantic totem pole.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the Beavers staying over on the Saturday night were rather more tired and 'sleep' did form part of the 'sleepover' experience!

Thank you to all the adults who helped to make it a great weekend!
