Wow, what a fantastic day was had by 470 Beaver Scouts from 8 Districts across Greater Manchester West on Saturday 18th June. The day was officially opened by a parade of birthday banners marching to the wonderful sound of 3D scout band and the fun then truly began!

The day had a circus theme and the Beavers had a whole range of activities to occupy themselves with including face painting, circus skills, dress as a clown relay, tin can alley, hook-a-duck, coconut shy, tight rope walking, stilt walking as well as various craft activities with a clown theme such as making masks, bookmarks, fridge magnets and biscuit decorating.

Adventurous Beavers could try climbing on the traverse wall as well as the inflatable assault course, or for those who wished to make a bit of noise, sorry I mean music, 3D band had provided many instruments for the Beavers to try out!

With the sun on our side, all the Beavers had a FAB time as did the parents and leaders who supported and helped on the day. We finished off with a campfire led by two members of Sale Gangshow and of course 'Happy Birthday' had to be amongst the songs sung!
